Course Length: 6 Weeks | Sessions: 1-2 per week
Target Audience:  Little to moderate music production experience

Course Overview:
This hands-on course introduces students to the fundamentals of music production using FL Studio, a leading digital audio workstation (DAW). Participants will learn to create, mix, and finalize their own music tracks while gaining practical experience in beat-making, sound design, and arrangement.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Week 1: FL Studio Basics – Interface, drum patterns, and setup.
  • Week 2: Building Blocks – Rhythm, melodies, and chord progressions.
  • Week 3: Sound Design & Arrangement – Song structure, loops, and effects.
  • Week 4: Mixing & Effects – EQ, reverb, delay, and track balancing.
  • Week 5: Advanced Techniques – Automation, sampling, and vocal processing.
  • Week 6: Finalizing Your Track – Mastering, exporting, and class presentations.

Final Project:
Students will produce and present a fully arranged, mixed, and mastered track, showcasing their creative process and newly acquired skills.

Level: Little to moderate OBS experience
Goal: Learn to use OBS Studio for live streaming and video recording, mastering scenes, sources, audio, and video settings.

What You'll Learn:

  • Set up and navigate the OBS Studio interface.
  • Create and manage scenes with sources (e.g., displays, webcams, media).
  • Optimize audio and video settings for streaming and recording.
  • Integrate OBS Studio with platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

Hands-On Activities:

  • Configure and explore OBS Studio tools.
  • Build scenes and sources for streaming or recording.
  • Record and optimize audio/video quality.
  • Complete a final project: Stream or record a professional session.

Goal: Learn to create engaging content, build a personal brand, and grow an audience across social media platforms.

  • Plan, shoot, and edit content using free tools like Canva, CapCut, and InShot.
